How to leverage AI without losing your competitive edge

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room right now.. the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and how it’s impacting the job market.

There’s a lot of fear and uncertainty around this topic, with some people worried that AI will completely replace human jobs. But we don’t believe that’s the case, at least not entirely.

Sure, there are some jobs that are at risk of being replaced by AI. But we think that AI will mainly expose those who have been getting by with the bare minimum and replace them.

After all, why would someone spend thousands of dollars on a service that they can easily find on Google? With software like ChatGPT, we can pull up information and sources within seconds.

That’s why it’s crucial to stay on top of the game in business and find ways to intertwine what’s new in the technology world with what you do.

As a technical writing company, things like ChatGPT could put us out of business.

For example, we are hired to improve communication through documentation. And ChatGPT can help improve communication by answering questions that people may have and making content more digestible.

But here’s the thing: ChatGPT only gives you what you know to ask.

If you ask it to create a standard operating procedure (SOP), it will do so. But the SOP will be generic, and you’ll sound like every other business with terrible communication.

That’s where our expertise comes in. We know the right questions to ask, what to look for, how to tie AI into business, and more. At the end of the day, AI can’t replace human emotion.

And that’s what gives us the upper hand. Sure, people could use ChatGPT to create their SOP, but it won’t be tailored to their specific needs and communication style.

So, what’s the takeaway from all this?

Make sure you’re keeping up with trends in your business and finding ways to give yourself an upper hand. AI is here to stay, but that doesn’t mean it has to replace human expertise entirely.

Instead, we can find ways to work alongside it and make it work for us.
